I am planning to rebuild my victa 2 stroke as it was inherited and previously neglected/abused and I enjoy little rebuld projects like this, I have rebuilt various engines in the past including two strokes and feel that this will not be a problem but some diagrams would be much appreciated, carby, hose and electrical layout, whatever I can get. Also I would like to know where the best place to go for spare parts would be in Adelaide.
The mower would have to be 10 or more years old, but mechanicaly looks very good and worthy of a rebuild.

Thanks in advance Keith.

It is a little hard to say, I assume there used to be a sticker on the top plastic cowling with the model name on it but it has been gone for a long time. I could pick it out from a line up of the models, I might have a look on the victa history site and try and pick it. From the pictures I've seen I think its a commando

the only thing I could find on the mower itself was a number on the top of the throtle/air filter cap (model vj165a1)

If there is anything else I can do to narrow the field let me know.

Eckydrifter That No on the label on the airfilter top is all you need. Bruce will be able to tell you from that number exactly which model you have. That is so long as somebody has not taken that filter off another mower at sometime .If the mower has beenkicking around a while there is always this possibility but I am sure Bruce will be able to give you enough clues to recogize the rest of it Cheers Joe
