Hi guys,
I was given an old pre 1984 Victa 2 stroke mower that was firing but would not run. It has the black plastic G4 or G5 carby, it was leaking like a sieve, have replaced the O-ring seal and have spark, new fuel, plenty of compression, but it just won't fire. I think that the problem is in the carby or the silver valve bit that screws into the cylinder. The piston is in excellent condition, I have checked through the exhaust port, looks brand new.

I managed to get a bit of a seal with the old o-ring and if I kept priming the carby it would keep running, but since then, I've had nothing. Spark is really good, (gives a great kick !)
