I recently received a lot of old VC's, including one that seemend to have a light green cowl and starter, I took them of this morning, and i am now sure they are off one of the VC-160 Auto drive models, due to the hole for the cable, and the smaller tank to accommodate the drive. I am thinking i will put them on my auto once cleaned up, to see how it all looks. Not sure where they actually fit into the VC-160 story, i will make sure to post it if i ever find out. but here, pictures of the green VC cover, that must be original to something, and useful to someone, somewheres restoration someday!!! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1330-img_0371.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1331-img_0373.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1332-img_0374.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1333-img_0389.jpg) As i said, dont know what its specifically from, and i have never seen one before, if anyone knows anything, please, i would love to know where this fits into the VC-160's story!!

The mower itself is a bit of allot of things, the green cowl is defiantly off one of the VC-160 Auto-Drive Variants (Self Propelled) this mower is not that, someone has simply put this one on as a replacement sometime in its life, the engine was also MKIII, which came out to late for the VC-160, and the cowl was MKI!!!

Well, in the end i decided to strip down the 4 extra VC-160's i had, Two will probably end up re-built, one engine is headed to my red and white mustang, and the other ones base is stuffed, the engine was a MKIV (G4) with rusted through muffler and no deco or cylinder head, and will be parts on the shelves for others. I took the green cowl, gave it a clean, and although it had a little damage, decided to fit it to my auto-drive to see how it came up, as i am certain it is from one auto drive or another (tank size, cable hole) fits well, looks ok, and i noticed the "Auto drive" badge on my base was a similat shade, heres a lkook: Before- ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1353-img_0460.jpg) and after- ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/06/full-5013-1354-img_0461.jpg) Certainly stands out, Elysia named it the "Auto-Lime"!!
Cheers Ty
