I bought this at a garage sale and it started fine. Then it seemed to surge and backfired now wont start. It has fuel and the spark plug is clean. Can anyone suggest how to get this $200 investment to run again Cheers Tim lms201e is the model number but i didnt get a manual with it and not mechnically inclined overly

Hi Victaman dont htink so. I had a look at the carby it is black plastic one and the little yellow thing where the float is - a pin of some sort - seems to be stiking. I started the moxer today but it surged. I primed it while it was running nad it seemed to rn ok then bacjfired and stopped. Couldnt restart. Took spark plug out and it was wet. Wondering if the little yellow pin thing is my problem. Please help as will be very grateful Cheers Bluefin

Well the mower works as the needle was in the wrong way they think. It surged for a little and baclkfired so i kept pushing the primer till it seemed to choke out then full throttle and it splutterred then is now runnig fine. Got the lawn mowed this afternoon so not sure what was wrong as all I have done is replace the needle.
