Hello everyone,
Im wondering if there are any books about old victa lawnmowers and how to pull the engines apart and carbys apart and how to diagnose whats wrong with them and what to do. I have a few engines i have found around the place and would like to learn more about them because i enjoy collecting them and pulling them apart but i ussaully pull one apart and then get stuck and leave it and i would like to fix them up and sell them. BTW is there an easier way to removing the nut on the blade disc/plate thing other than jamming a screwdriver or something in it to stop it from turning when i use a ratchet to get it off? I have found it is a two person job but surely its easier than that?

Re the "blade disc/plate thing" I generally use a ring spanner and a hammer - one good tap generally breaks it free, but for your own sake make certain the spark plug is disconnected!!!
