i have a 70 series vette how old is it , did they have a special fuel cap a float on a dial it has an impulse starter that when wound after about two turns starts to jump not winding the spring can a kit be bought for the impulse starter any ideas, also i have a 58 victa special did they all have the plug spanner hanging beaneath the handle bars does anyone have one with the bar attached as it is the only thing i havent got for my mower my special also has a brass plate on the front with the name of the seller being langs electrical gympie road brisbane and with the the petrol oil mixture on it were these plates common .thanks bruce

Hi Kingswood, can`t help you too much about your starter or your fuel cap problem as the models I own are before these and I`ve yet to work on the model you have. As for the 58 Special with the brass plate on it , I have the same model with the same plate as well from Langs Elect, Gympie Rd, this was their own marketing and identity plate put on after being purchased from Victa by Langs, I don`t know if they obtained permission for this from Victa, today all mower agents now advertise themselves with a Sticker stuck to the mower in a prominent place. I haven`t as yet come across any other 58 Special with another different Company name advertised on it. This just adds to era of the times which makes the mower more desireable to own.
