Hey Guys,
I hope you wont mind me asking if you could possibly help a guy out from USA to figure out what his mower is.
The link has before and after shots (before page 1 and after page 3)
The Engine is a clinton 2 stroke VS-400. its the body i think that's bothering him.

http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=124281

He says it has a V on the front of the deck. which you can see in the before shots. I was wondering if you Victa guys might know ?

Thanks
Pete

The body worries me too. That's easily the ugliest mower I've ever seen.

No idea what it is.

I rekon he wrecked it.

I like a good patina.

There was a guy said he had one the same. Should be chasing him up for some pictoral proof. When i first saw it i thought it could well have been a custom.

I personally feel sorry for the guy...Imagine scoring a vintage machine from the 1950's and not being able to identify it...Frustrating to say the least. With no concrete information coming forth I tend to agree with Bob, it could be a one-off made by some motor-body apprentice as his end of year project...

However, he certainly has spent some time and money on it and made a showpiece, and for that he has earned a lot of praise, especially from the members of that website.
It looks the 50's part now! wink
cheers2

Sorry, it was the bottom post on page 4. I missed that the guy was quoting someone.

I'm guessing some nut added the fins to a standard mower, long ago, possibly whilst under the influence of a noxious and illegal substance.
