graham, What type/model motor are you trying to get an after market primer for?

graham, If the machine is a copy then the problem that you will have is with the manual choke. If you don't make sure that it is completly on then it will be hard to start. So check that it is fully on before looking for a primer.

hi bruce regarding the choke it is fully closed in the starting position, but it requires four or five pulls on the starter cord or more when it is cold.As i have had bypass surgery a while ago it is very hard on the rib cage. I would like it to start like a victa ie first pull, I guess if i wanted a easy starting mower should have bought one with a primer. When i prime it with a syringe, with about five ml of fuel into the carby ventury it starts first pull every time and runs well with good top end and a smooth low idle.thks rgds graham

graham, I will upload a manual by tomorrow night on the M120X to the parts list and manuals area under Rover mowers. This should help as it has carby and engine trouble shooting.

hi bruce upon reading information you sent and further investigation of the choke butterfly in the start position i found by loosening the choke butterfly on the shaft then closing the choke to the on position i could then tighten the scews up tight with the butterfly more central in the carby ventury, the butterfly was fouling on the carby body, the choke is closing fully now and starting appears to require less pulling on the starter cord, thanks again graham

graham,
Great to hear that it is starting better. The suzuki motors are usually pretty good and the only time I have had starting problems it turns out to be the choke not in the closed position. :Wavey:
