Hi all,

Yesterday I was having problems starting my eager beaver whipper snipper, after many attempts the rope gave way.

I took the starter off and all of a sudden the tension spring came out, now I cant seem to figure out how to get it back in. Is there an easy way, anyone have any tips?

By the way I figured out what was wrong with it, after pulling apart the carby, took the muffler off and then I decided to investigate the fuel tank. Turns out the rubber hose inside the tank had completly perished and wasn't sucking up any fuel.

I initially thought it was a blocked jet as it would run for a few seconds when I poured fuel down the carby.

argh the thing had me going for awhile!!!

Thanks

The easiest way to get the starter spring back in is to start off with the outside of the spring and slowly putting it back in coil by coil into its housing. it can be a tedious job at times.

argh I give up, I spent about 30 minutes on it today without any success, I am thinking of buying one of these

Anyone know where I would find something like this in Australia?

Thanks
