Hi,

I hae a Victa 2-stroke that won't go. On following so leads I have tested and found that with no spark at the plug it is likely that the ingnition coil is faulty. To get a replacement I need the model number and the Model no MCA201E is on a sticker on the air filter housing. Is this a Victa engine model no?

Welcome to Outdoorking Roryo, you've come to the right place to talk about mower problems and find solutions.

There will probably be people here who recognise the model number, but a picture or two would be best - then they will know where it fits into the succession of models, and which parts are interchangeable with your coil.

Before rushing ahead and buying a new coil (can be expensive) try removing the wires from the back of the carb and keep them apart. If you have spark after that simply replace the rubber boot and cover for the wires. If not you may need an ignition coil or ignition module.

It is also possible for a spark plug to fail have you tried a new one just to be sure.
