I recently bought an eighties model Victa PowerTorque 160cc 2stroke with aluminium deck from a deceased estate. It runs well, usually starting first pull. The only marking on the airfilter housing is 307 (LHS looking down). The deck is painted green with serial number 09437. Any idea what model this is?

Docker,
One the earlier Power torque they used to stamp a number on the cylinder head which told you the year it was made.

No number on cylinder head, but on the block next to the engine part number I found 21 87.
Does this mean anything, apart from being a 1987 model?

Docker,
Have a look on the air filter housing where on the cover as some times they put the model number on it.

This gets more confusing - the lettering (as a mirror image) is AIJAR1 or 1RAJIA. The J could be a "C" or a "0"
