Hi Guys, I have a rover mower. The mower has a cutting bar setup. The bar height is up to high inot the chassis to cut short. I have another rover different base and same deal. Is there and adaptor / spacer you can put between the crank end and the bar to extend the lenght?
The mower can cut long grass but lowest setting cut is 2 inches approx.
I remember while back i had a spacer looking thing and threw it out. I bet that was the thing to help.
Cheers

Is there still a boss on the end of the crankshaft?
I have seen the spacer things before, thought I havent got any here among my junk.
I have a rover with the 4 blade disc and find the blades sit about 1cm up in the deck itself. Just fodgured it was normal. Cheers Joe.

Hi Joe, yeah there is a spindle / mount there the blade goes on with the 3 small bolts and one large in the centre. The issues is 2 of my mowers have the same characteristic. I never knew what that spacer was really for till yesterday. The funny yhing is that they are not victa chassis they are rover chassis and the correct engines. I recon they are made for sir walter grass. Cheers
