hi gents, just wondering when a reel needs replacing. If a reel has been sharpened so many times that there is limited meat left, is the reel's life over or can the old blades be removed & new ones welded back in their place and then sharpened? Is this possible?? It looks like an option but I guess it could be tricky trying to bend the blades at the correct angle etc?

The blades can be replaced. All you need to do is find someone that sharpens the cylinders and they should be able to replace the blades.
