Hi guys, ever since reconditioning the tecumseh motor Josh gave me, i have been yearning to stick it on to an alloy base as i would love to keep this motor going long term (first tecumseh i have worked on).

I have the following to trade (let me know what combination your interested in).

flymo fm180 petrol brush cutter (running, carby pins need to be adjusted a bit but goes as is).

Old but in good v.g condition electric rover mulcher. all metal body, 1500W.

Old electric flymo blower/vac

Old victa electric vacuum with bag

I also have a vg condition 2 burner bbq made in 1978 by Flexalum (made in oz), great orange colour, retro style! laugh in working condition (have cooked on it no probs) with plates and grill, but i would like some $$$ for it with a trade for the base.

Also, i have a brand new table tennis table, unwanted gift, folds away, i have put it together for you (there are 2 screws w butterfly nuts missing from coming together but it does not affect table, easy enough to find in bunnings anyways). Again, will be looking for some reimbursement, not a straight swap for the table.
brand is sports craft and looks like this [Linked Image from sportcrafttabletennis.com] No balls/rackets/nets come with it.

Let me know if anything takes your fancy guys! (or even if you want to buy something but dont have an alloy base as im willing to sell!)

you can have a steel victa base from any scrap yard / tip selling yard ect for about $5 but you will need the adapter boss to go from the bigger mower shaft to the victa blade assemble. also make sure you get a power torque base as the others are different mounting pattern. was the engine originally off a victa or not?
it will be a find if you get a alloy victa power torque base as they are mostly steel.
contrastively if you want to come to Melbourne i have about 8 steel ones laying under the house but it would be a fair treck!
regards jay

hehe, thanks for the offer jay. Yeah, i know its a long shot but im really trying to find a power torque alloy deck. (i hate the steel ones).
The engine (tvs90) is currently sitting on a bad steel victa base so i assume it would be an easy transfer. The mower runs and the blade assemble is fine, i just basically want an alloy base to stick the engine on as the current steel one is, as you might have guessed, completley rusted through and worthless. I would pay if someone started producing ally bases to fit powertorques.(thats how much i hate steel bases) smirk

one option is one of the older vc bases that have the mounting holes for a 4 stroke engine but you would then need to knock out all the extra alloy inbetween. its worth a look as ive done it before but its not so easy either.

good to see you got one, I was about to say that I had a really good one but a courier could have been a hassle smile

Cheers Joe.

yeah, those couriers.. just not worth it, specially the rates some of them charge!

thanks for the thought Joe!
