Master-Till Tiller transmission

I have a Master-Till front tine tiller. Model 12044. 5HP with power reverse. It looks like the transmission is a one piece sealed part #1985948001 (C). There is no transfer of power from the pulley to the front tine shaft. Can it be repaired? The unit is in prestine condition. Where's the best place to look for obsolete replacemnt parts? It was distributed by Garden Way Inc., who is now defunct.
