Hi Bruce, I saw a thread from "Marc" concerning the Diplomat, I have a similar problem with the clutch gasket being broken but I dont know how to get the front plate off to replace the gasket. the plate has two holes but are not tapped, can you please give me some advise on this problem. The mower I have is a belt driven machine with a lever that puts tension on the belt to drive it, there is no model, or serial numbers only a label saying refer to manual for these numbers which I dont have.thanks.

jray,

Can you post a picture (close-up) of the area you are talking about because I want to make sure that I give you the correct information.

Usually you will find a circlip/bolt holding the clutch on but it could be either a 430 or a 590 model that you are talking about I think. cheers2
