Hi Bruce I wanted to know if you have any ideas on how to remove a blade boss from an old Briggs engine easily. I am trying to remove one to put it into my Suzuki engine but I'm having trouble removing the old boss of the Briggs's crankshaft. Any ideas would be appreciated.

VC Victa, It depends on the boss that is on the mower. If it one that a blade plate bolts onto then they are easy to remove, all you need to do is clean the crankshaft with some emery paper until it is shiney and then hit the boss towards the crankcase and once you get it down remove the key in the shaft and then clean the rest of the shaft and slide the boss off.
