I am looking at purchasing a 2008 Victa Tornado 2 stroke lawnmower that has been run on 4 stroke fuel and now does not work.I reckon that the piston and rings will need to be replaced (this is no issue as I have another engine in bits), How easy would it be to fix up a mower like this or is it not worth the trouble. The guy wants $10 for it. See attached pics at link below:

Hi VC Victa, without pulling down the engine a having a look at the damage caused, it would be hard to assess the costs involved, but even if you had to rebore the barrel, fit an oversize piston and rings, you've still got a cheap mower for $10.00. Is the engine seized up completely?

The guy said that mower stills turns over but the cylinder and piston are scored badly and need work. He also said that the body and catcher are mint as the catcher was never used and the mower has only been used 4 times since new.

VC Victa Power Torque motors are easy to rebuild and only take about two hours to do if you know what you are doing.
The cost is not that expensive either.
