I am looking to rebuild my 253707 model 11hp B&S and would like to have the service manual before I attempt rebuiling it and have subscribed to the relivant group. This engine is blowing vast amounts of blue-ish smoke to the point that it looks like the rings have dissapeared entirely.

First post is not helpful as the B&S website says that the engine number is too old to have manuals on.
The second post is not helpful as I subscribed to "Lawnmower Parts List & Manuals Area" which states:
"This area is for those members that want detailed parts list information and manuals"
Why do I need to pay more for a manual when this is stated?

Geoff you are right about the parts list and manuals area being the right location. Now all you need to do is click on Briggs and Stratton engines HERE and if the information is not there that you require just send me a PM and I will try to upload it within a day or two.
