Hi all,
I am currently restoring a 125 cc mark 3 store brand Victa (M.S.A.A). to complete the rebuild I need the piston to suit (domed top one) and a set of rings. I had a nose around the shop and could not positively locate any that looked like what I needed. I also need seals, bearings, ect but have located them in the store. The number stamped on the crank case is:
15940 5 08. I also found the con rod is cracked and am wondering whether or not I can use any other victa crankshaft or weather this all are unique to the engine.

We have the piston and rings along with seals etc in stock but need to know what sized piston you need std 20-40-60 or 80 thow. As to the conrod you will need to split the shaft and replace the big end bearing as well as the conrod bush which we also have in stock.

What is the price for piston, conrod and bearing, top and bottom seals and bearings and relevant gaskets?
Also, how do you split the crankshaft as I have never had to and looking at it seems pretty well sealed?

Sorry for the late reply to this one but the bearings etc that you require are listed HERE .

As to the crank shaft you need at least one dial gauge and a set of centers in order to reassemble. To separate is easy but putting back together is a different story as I have done quite a few in my time and found that many people do not know how to do it.

When I reassemble I usually only allow 1 to 2 thow out of alignment.

Firstly, thanks for all your help! I have another 125cc crank, but it has holes cut into it rather tan the standard set up if you know what I mean (can post pics if needed). The only other issue with this crankshaft is that the big end bearing has too much play in it for me to happily put it back into a fully reconditioned engine.
If anyone else has a good 125cc crankshaft to sell please let me know as its all that is holding me back from ordering parts and completing the restoration.

I have some reconditioned crankshaft back at the workshop but would have to see if I have any 125cc ones, will let you know by the end of the week.

Also I have one other crankshaft that has a slight bend in it from storage (had a v twin laying on it. Its worth attempting to straiten it is it, considering its going into full restored engine?

Hi mowernut, if you are restoring this engine to a running condition; as opposed to a static display cosmetically restored machine; please consider using the best available parts.....using a previously bent part is just asking for trouble down the track;....remember the old motto: Do it once; do it right!!
Just remember, this machine is "Gonna Turn Grass Into Lawn"

My mistake, I meant to say "its not worth attempting .....".
Your exactly right about doing it once, and doing it right. im very hesitant to put any of the bearings or the original piston back in.
