hi guys, i got given this one today, some one has bolted a 125 victa engine with a sheerline model 6 engine, tank and starter on it,can any one tell me what sort of base it is,it has the stripes similar to the pace but the pace mowers i have seen have the height adjuster on the right side not the left.
possibly a pope?

Hi stevej, wow! that's an oldie, I can't help you identify it, but I do agree the front does look very much like a Pace.
By it's present condition, I think it will be a challenge and lots of fun to see if it will run!! grin
Good find!!

thanks Darryl, i have been able to find sort of similar handle set up on an old 1964 rover i have, but the dove tail rear and the lack of badge holes have me stumped.
the motor and tank are great because the sheerline i have already posted pics of has a seized motor (eBay seller neglected to tell me) so this is perfect to go on that and the victa starter and cup is a bonus .
just out playing, tried to adjust height and the rubber came off in my hand, the rubber had been put on backwards and has TURNER on it.Now to find out what model and what motor i need! From what i can find it is a Turner F61 but i still need to know what engine and fuel tank etc.possibly a kirby lauson
