Tanaka whipper snipper came with the story previous owner bought it new and became difficult then impossible to start so bought a newie, the Tanaka sat in a shed 10 years.

No labels, quick web search, maybe TCB 220 or 265, doesn't really matter. Dusty but appeared unmolested, had rough home-made airfilter scissor-hewn from a bit of foam.

Fired up with a squirt down the plug hole but couldn't get fuel flowing through fuel lines which were rock hard and cracked when removing carb.

The gasket between carb and manifold adapter had perished. Made a new one, replaced fuel lines, got fuel flowing, carved out an airfilter from piece of foam and it is now doing a sterling job - although I do prefer my brace of 4 stroke Hondas.

Great being able to resurrect an old machine without spending much time and money.
