Hi thanks for taking the time to have a read of my questions.
I’m
New to this so please give me some slack on terminology.
I been running a Ozito cylinder but I got my hands on a Victa 14” imperial . Got it running after a few beers and choice words.
But I’m having trouble with the 3 wooden rollers at the front not spinning well like they are stuck or jammed. I tried wd40 but being timber wasn’t sure that would work. Tried cleaning but they are slightly moving but not freely. So when I mow they either stop me or just slide.

My questions are

how can I make these spin freely or can I upgrade to a steel roller at all with some minor modifications.

Also how do I adjust the height I can nkt figure it out and YouTube not been very helpful so far.
Thank you

Hi ChisJ,

The gist of it is the same.

With the wooden rollers ,I'd remove the rollers from the shaft and sand or file the rust off then put it back together ,you
could use one of the following to lubricate the rollers before assembly.

1 Light Machine Oil: This oil can provide adequate lubrication without attracting too much dirt and debris. Apply it sparingly to avoid over-saturation.

2 White Lithium Grease: This type of grease can be useful for areas that experience more wear and tear, providing a thicker barrier while still allowing for some movement.

3 Silicone Spray: A silicone-based lubricant can provide good protection against moisture and help reduce friction without being too thick.

4 Marine Grease: If you are working in a humid or wet environment, marine grease can be a good choice as it’s water-resistant and provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion.

With the height adjustment there is a height adjust thread with a control knob that turns to raise and lower the rollers.

Some mowers after the height is adjusted you lock the roller shaft in place so if you don't loosen some locking nuts
first the roller height won't move but without having the mower in front of me I'm not sure if you need to loosen some locking nuts first.

You may need to loosen the blue arrow nut on both sides before adjusting the height but you will need to first remove the rollers to
clean and lubricate them .

Thank you for the information I’ll have a look at removing the rollers when I figure out how to. And with the height I have turned that knob but nothing happens it just turns so I’ll have a look at those other bolts to loosen off.
Is there any description videos of how to remove the cutting blades and bedknife?
Thank you

The spare parts shows a spring 91 maybe you need to push down the knob first before turning to engage the link so it turns.

93 is a pin so that could be broken and if so it would need replacing.

This video shows a few adjustments.

Parts manual shows all the bolts to remove.
