Hi, Wondering if anyone can tell me more about this model of Powertorque? It belonged to a relative who had always intended to get it running again but never did. Apparently the carby went on it, which was the reason why he shelved it for another day. It has good spark, but clearly missing quite a few parts. I might still come across the top cover and fuel tank for it yet. Am still looking. I would like to know which model it is and where I can find a parts diagram and list for it? It might turn out being more expensive to get going again than it is worth.
Going by the curved ribbed section on top of the base it's an early version, the alloy starter instead of plastic also early and probably has the big early electronic ignition module.
So guessing around 1984 , with these mowers you really need the sticker number off the end of the air cleaner cap for identification. Could be a Sabre with the chrome bars or could just be a bitsa as a lot of bases rusted out.
The last one I had with an alloy starter was 1983.
Thank you for the replies. A lot there for me to read and digest. The parts might be a problem. If I can't find the remains of the carby and the top cover, it might end up at the Lifeline shop at the tip.
