New to this forum, came across it while looking for parts for my old Retravision Contessa. Its a great mower, starts first pull every time.
I was chasing a throttle cable as the outside cable broke about 20mm from the carbie. After failing to find one i just remove the outer broken bit and shortened the other end. Good for another 20 years.
I inherited it from my father in about 1985. He had bought a new 4 stroke as the Contessa wouldn't start.
I cleaned the points and carbie and its still going, almost 40 years later. Its never been rebored and still goes well, though obviously a bit weaker now.

G'day Brasso,

The fact that you were not originally acknowledged here for joining us initially in 2024 is a great disappointment, and in my opinion
unacceptable, for which, I can not for any reason, understand.

Having said that, inheritance is a very good thing to have up your sleeve, and I wish you well on your endeavors and hope you do return to us and share your thoughts and insights regarding your Retravision Contessa mower, so that others who have the same machine can can benefit from your experience.

Once again, on behalf of all of us at OutdoorKing, I apologize for the tardiness in response to your initial post.

Cheers and Regards,

mice_elf
