After getting it home, I have realised a few bolts missing straight away. Mainly the bolt to hold the air filter down and a couple more bolts to connect the air filter accembley to the engine.
I'm thinking of doing a restoration on it, but would appreciate your thoughts on it, if it's only good for parts or something else.
There doesn't appear to be any cracks in the rails.
This Scott Bonnar MODEL 45 looks to be in good condition to suit restoration.
It's worth restoring if you want to cut the grass with it .If you're restoring the mower to make profit then I guess you would need to know the market for them in your area I've also seen similar Scott Bonnars sell around here for $100 to $150.that need a little work There are a few wanted to buy Scott Bonnar 45 mowers on Gumtree for around $300.
Thanks for the info, I managed to find a few bolts to put it all back together and cleaned up the fuel as it was quite old. Put the throttle to start and pulled the starter cord and it started first time 😀 I'm looking at fixing it up to cut my grass.
