Hi, I recently resurrected my victa ride on. The data plate says to quote 134 504 612 K113A when ordering parts etc. Hoping somebody in Victa world will know what model I am referring to.

Although I cant remember what it was doing when it went into hibernation now it wont change from forward to reverse and vice versa while the motor is running. Also I am not sure if this related but the brake does not work well while the motor is running.(The wheels lock up on concrete while rolling down hill). I had a quick look underneath while the motor was running while the brake was on and I could see that the belt was still wanting to go around as if there was a little too much tension on the belt still. I have had an inexpert look underneath and cant find any adjustment to reduce tension on the drive belt. Does anybody have any advice on adjusting the mechanism? Thanks

After checking the manual I installed the belt guard for the drive pulley which fixed the problem. Thanks to all those who offered their suggestions.

It is not that easy to give the correct answers here as it depends on how the members describe the situation because a lot of people think that they might sound/look stupid but guess what the ones that are not afraid (like yourself) to describe correctly, they are the ones that fix their machines.

It sounds like the info in the parts list and manuals area of the forum helped you with your problem.

I am sure that it would have saved you at least a $100 or more if you had have taken it to a repair center.
