Hi đź‘‹,

Sadly my father-in-law passed recently. While cleaning the property I found a Scott Bonnar 45, 17” mower. Family legend has it that it’s not run for 30+ years. After an oil/fuel change and a spark plug she fired up so that’s a good sign. I’ve decided to restore her in my father-in-law’s memory.

I’d like to know about its history if anyone can assist.

The serial number is 01212.
Engine is a B&S Model 80102, Type 0245-01, Code 77052301.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

SENIOR TECHNICIAN & HISTORIAN
Hi Adam,

The manufacturing date on the engine cowl is 1977 so the 45 is from that time.

The History of the 45 is here ,click on this link https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.a...4933/MODEL_45_-_History_Record_-_c1.html

Looks to be a good candidate for restoration.

Cheers
Max.
