It did once work, though I have changed solenoids, but it is connected to that, and it is connected to the seat. Does anyone have any photos or diagrams on how it should be connected. Bearing in mind I could not kill the engine by connecting the safety switch wire to the body of the mower either. I guess I should start by testing connectivity of the wire to the solenoid side.

Hi Peter,

I just have a basic mower wiring diagram.

You could try bypassing the safety switches and work backwards from there to see what the problem is.

Cheers
Max.

Hi Peter,
those switches have nothing to do with the solonoid, they are connected to the kill switch wire from the coil

ahh I meant the coil. anyhow the governor springs arrived this week, after an 8 week delay (they sold them not in stock and ordered them from overseas). so I will work on the mower again sometime soon.
my question though was how and where exactly the cutofff connects to under the seat, regardless of where the other end goes.

Hi Peter
What is it you are trying to do, do you want to isolate the seat safety switch?,
