My mate gave me a mower he pickup on the curb....... he couldn't get it started....
I sharpened blades, cleaned air filter, carb bowl and park plug..........
Looks pretty new, don't think blade has been sharpened.....
Anyway the big problem was the spark plug boot was not fully home on the spark plug......

Plenty of power and I always drill a hole in flap so I hold it up with a piece of wire......
139cc , and it has no throttle but it's OK.

I'm guessing it's not made in Germany like their famous sausages?
Interesting handles how they go into the (plastic?) base.

Engine looks different to other four strokes I've seen. At first I thought it might be a Briggs. Nice looking compact you got Speedy. Keep or flog?

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

G'day Speedy and Mf,

I'd be putting the motor on a Victa base and cutting the plastic base in half and throwing it in the bin.

I must have thrown out about 30 Sanli Lawn Beetle mowers by now.

If it's got the blade below, throw that in the bin and use a decent blade plate and blades.

A lot of these mowers are thrown out because they cut very poorly , It dies if it sees grass that's a bit long (50mm)

Not a good base to adjust the height , you have to unbolt all the wheels . I'd feel bad If I gave someone this mower for free lol

Cheers
Max.

MF it's on FB marketplace.....

Max, it's so new, pity to destroy it as is...... it's got a straight blade.....no lugs. and this one doesn't falter with thick grass...... you just adjust the wheels once.....
a big 139cc......
I might mow whole lawn when it needs it....

That's a 660 EX Speedy, I think the SX denotes self-propelled, at least the Baumr 750SX I found was.

Was. I greatly disliked using a self-propelled, too hard to manoeuvre and pull backwards. When the belt fell off I removed the gearbox but that didn't help so took out the gears connected to the wheels.

Now it's an excellent mower. Steel base BTW

The motor is a powermore by Zongshen, the same people who make the predator power motors (note predator australia motors not USA harbor freight Predators). I would rate them below loncin but above sumec and relatively on par with rato and lifan.

You would have some home of getting parts through rover as they have used them.

They are more common on mtd's american products https://www.rona.ca/en/product/remi...r-140-cc-20-in-grey-11a-02sb583-02225231

Aldi also use it on their more recent mowers https://au-catalogues.com/n/aldi-specials/catalogue-69226-13

I was unlucky enough to be given the previous model that had a 99cc t100 motor of unknown manufacturer but the same as used on early aldi mowers and a few others. Put it on a 18in rover deck with rover blades - was comically easy to bog down but strangely hard to outright stall. 3 uses later the pull start completely disintegrated and I couldn't be stuffed finding a cheap replacement so all i have left is the carby and a few other bits.

Sounds like this mower cuts better in a dry area like Queensland Speedy, looks like it's missing the self tapper in the
side to stop the handle flexing.

Too many fussy buyers in my area ,I've seen a few sell for $20. on eBay ,If I wanted $70. I'd have to use a different base
with a plastic catcher ,people here don't like the bag catchers.

Another problem I had, was the cast iron boss on the crank would be broken when people hit a rock with the bar blade.

Lots of cheap mowers for sale these days. Hopefully someone will want the Braum-AG 660SX mower soon Speedy.

Cheers
Max.
