Hi ODK Members and Admins,

I have reoccurring pop up banners coming at me from the bottom of my screen each time I click on a different topic or page. Is this part of using the forum now or an unwanted pest?

All the best
Paul

G'day Paul and Tyler,

The easiest way to fix this issue is to change the settings in Safari or use the Chrome browser .

Cheers
Max.

G'day all
Thanks Max for the information.
I hate unwanted and unwelcome advertising Paul and Tyler.

ODK has no advertising policy with Google.

I just want to stress that my personal association with JIS,
Seasons at Mango Hill, and Patagonia are purely coincidental ... grin
These are all wonderful Western Group companies ...

Cheers
Jack

Seems google are at it again. sometimes they are targeted for me, other times not like this one (looking it up it appears 'overwatch' is a video game.)

Ads don't bother me as much as the recurring crashing they are are causing in chrome. Intermittently, ODK is holding up processes it comes up something along the lines of "ODK... sincreative.cdn"

I never get ads Tyler, I change settings and delete temporary files etc and add U block to the browser also
I select New Private window in Firefox or with Chrome just select Incognito Mode on a laptop ,phone or iPad.

Private window and incognito mode stops Cookies, this stops the small files that websites put on your PC to store info about your preferences.

Cheers
Max.

Is anyone else still getting these in chrome? I have tried firefox and have emptied cache, scanned but ODK still has these ads continually coming up?

Yes Tyler, getting these ones that come down from above before I immediately get it to go back up bit still see a tag visible. They won't be getting a sale out of me.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Assuming you are on the computer and not the phone , I use Auslogics to remove Cache .

I would install, superantispyware free edition ,it will remove Tracking Cookies from the browsers .

https://www.superantispyware.com/free-edition.html

Then use a private browser on Chrome or FireFox if that doesn't work add U block to the browser.

Cheers
Max.
