hi all
ihave a rover with a 2stroke suzuki engine,it has good compression, good spark but takes a lot of winding over to start it. i have cleaned out the carby and checkeb fuel flow from the tank, the choke is working properly with throttle full on. i didnt use new carby gaskets as they were in good condition. when it does start it runs well and idles good, that makes me think its not an air leak. the only thing i notice is the bottom seal is just a bit damp, enough to think yeh when i cant find anything else obvious. there is virtualy no play in the crank bearings, just wondering what you guys rekon about
cheers micka

micka,

Replace the bottom seal first if it is damp as that shows a leak which means that you need additional fuel to fire the old girl up. cheers2
