Hi, all.
This is my very first post on this forum. I do hope I'm not covering something that's already been covered elsewhere.
I have been given two old Victa mowers - what I believe is a Model 5 'special' which belonged to my grandfather, and a Rotomo model 2 which has no family connection.
I've tracked down gaskets, oil seals, O-rings and bearings, even a couple of sets of blades, all worn-out things which I can replace myself.

However, I have two questions, with which I hope others may be able to help:
Firstly, is it still possible to have crankshaft bushes and bearings replaced? The Rotomo seems OK in this regard, but the Special has a lot of play in the little-end bush.

Secondly, is there an easy way to tell if oversize pistons and rings have been fitted? I'd like to replace the piston rings, but I don't know if they're standard or oversize. I don't have an inside micrometer so I can't measure the bores.

I do hope you can help! A happy Easter to you all.

Lucas.

Hi Lucas

I have seen someone selling new bushings but I have looked and can't work out where. It is achievable provided you get get bits

Normally, the piston crown would have '020' on it if oversize
