Hi Guys.. picked up this 1990 Victa on kerbside... in pretty fair condition for its age.. Unfortunately no compression !!!.. is it worth the effort or scrap it. ?

All depends on what you want/need it for, to me it looks like good wheels and they are hard to come by. You could just put another motor on it if you had something kicking around. Often Victa bases are rusted out but motors are ok. Just keep an eye out for one. As I said, depends on what you want to do

Is it low compression or absolutely no compression?

If absolutely none, pull the head off and it might have dropped a valve seat. Peen it back in and you may be back in business

Interesting it dropped intake, usually the hotter exhaust one is the one that goes.

Do you plan on peening it back, or scrap it?

I've done a good 20 of them where they've dropped the valve seat and it's almost always been the intake.

I haven't done any of the quantums but its funny because the couple of other briggs I have seen have dropped the exhaust valves. Probably just different weak spots haha
