G'day there
I have a B & S on my newly acquired Rover Colt 8
The engine Model is 125602 0127 E1 050822 FB
I understand that this may well not be the original engine
My problem is the throttle spring is not correct
I have tried some different springs, but none reduce the engine speed when I throttle off
hopefully my two pictures load
One shows the position where the spring is attached, the other with no spring
Could I get help with the correct spring, where to get? (EBay No, etc )
Is this the correct position for the spring?
Thank you in advance
Dave

Well what you trying to use is way too strong of a spring for the governor.

You need PN 691291.

Other here should point you to a place in Australia where you get the governor spring. I am US based so that is way too way to ship something from here

Thanks,
I chased it up through Amazon
But I will wait for any other assistance
Was the spring in the correct spot?
Thanks

Your spring is in the correct spot, just way to powerful a spring

I am guessing its an intek motor, which aren't as common as quantum. Any mower shop with a briggs account would be able to get you one in, but I wouldn't say most would necessarily have one on hand.

Doesn't seem there is an aftermarket option
