Hi All
I'd come across these forums in the past when getting the victa vortex i picked up in hard rubbish up and running.
I wasn't particularly 'into' mowers (God knows i have to many interests/collections already) but being an 80's kid i had to get it looking and running well again and still to this day it does my lawns. Sure beats the newish P.O.S victa that now sits rusting out back!
I've just paid membership as i have just acquired what i now know are a Turner 4M fuel tank and cowling in amazingly good condition. At the time i knew they weren't recent but i had no idea they were from Australia's first rotary 4 stroke.
All the photos etc accessible once i paid for membership were a huge help in researching what i had.
I hope it's not seen as wrong to join up here primarily at this point just to sell some rareish parts?
I considered ebay but i can see there's a genuine bunch of enthusiasts here keen on restoring and digging up the history of Aussie mowers so thought here was the place to list these.
That said after doing all the research im trying to avoid the restorer in me that would love to find the rest of a 4M to go with these.... Allthough it would be a bit arse about to start with just a cowling and fuel tank!
I will attach a few pics shortly and will put a post up in the sales section soon.... I have no idea what they are worth as 4m parts don't seem to come up often so there's little history of sales online. Id love to be in a position to give them away but things are just to tight thanks to bloody covid shutting down my business for two years solid now. Im not out to price gouge though either so any advice would be appreciated.
