Cylinder Mower Newbie
Hi Everyone, recently picked up an AV Everyman (Tecumseh Motor) everything seems to be working alright except the dog clutch lever. I’ve tightened the cable but no matter how tight I get it the rear roller won’t disengage. When I pull the lever I can see the rear roller cog move very slightly. Has the cable just stretched or is there something else I should be looking for?
First time tinkering with a reel mower so any help is certainly appreciated. See photos attached.

Josh, bearing in mind I have only had a look at one of these and not gone indepth with it, the first thing I would do (carefully) is to squeeze the throwout lever a bit more to the right using a pair of vice grips.

That would rule out if the cable is stretched

Thanks Tyler,
Did as you said but to no avail.

I opened up the clutch and it seamed the cork and front plate were kind of stuck together. Cork seemed oily too, no that it’s back together I’m getting no drive at all, so I assume I’ll need to find some cork sheet and replace it? Photos attached.
