Howdy, just picked up a little 14" 45 and looking to give it a bit of a tidy up.
It needs a new belt, clutch overhaul and carb rebuild. Also looking for some OG handle bars if anyone has some for sale?

Great forum, looks like there is loads if of info here!!

G'day Undeez, and a warm welcome to the ODK Forums. :welcome:

Our resident Scott Bonnar aficionado Mod will be along directly, and will be able to fill in the details.

But I'd say what you have there is actually a 16" cut 690 Series. So it is badged as a Scotty, but was actually made by Morrison Mowers in New Zealand.

Here's a past discussion on these; https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=40322

Cheers,

No worries!

If you can give us the Model, Type and Code numbers off the Briggs engine - which will be stamped on the cowling, adjacent to the carby, we can point you to an Illustrated Parts List [IPL], and Operator Manual for that engine.

Cheers!
The engine number is 60112 0369-01 76041401
Briggs & Stratton 2 HP easy spin.

It starts easily but as soon as you give it some throttle it cuts out.
I pulled the carb off today and looks like it's missing a seal where the air/fuel mixer thing is so would be nice to know what parts I need to get it running good.
Also does anyone know what belt I need? I'm pretty sure this is the incorrect width and length.

Op Manual: http://bsintek.basco.com/MDEXResultsPages/PDFDisplayPage.aspx?fileName=lrvvA-wU7eL7hAxB91ObQ

IPL: http://bsintek.basco.com/MDEXResultsPages/PDFDisplayPage.aspx?fileName=Z6nluFVJ1DajI

This IPL should be OK, though it doesn't claim to cover your engine's exact Type Number. BTW, that engine was built on 14th April 1976.

For the drive belt, this past thread suggests an A35 belt, which is a standard industrial belt type/size; https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/12545/Scott_Bonnar_Morrison_Model_69.html

But the OEM belts are a 'cogged' type; that would be an AX35, which is better able to handle tight bends around small pulleys.

A Morrison resto thread which has some useful info; https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=35924&page=all

Hi there,
I picked up one of these last year, the roller drive gear was sheared, made from a type of plastic. I've had the gear replicated and 3D printed and reassembled the mower minus a motor. I'm considering converting it to 36v, but in the mean time I'm trying to work out how to remove the pictured sleeve off the drive shaft. Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello Teds01
My best guess is that there should be a grub screw and key-way
to secure the motor/engines.

However, I think the sleeve is integral to the output shaft
[it cannot be removed]

Hope this helps.
