Some newer pics with my 18 Special fairly clean, and 50 years of dirt cleaned out of the base etc. Height adjuster lubed and working well. I have not found any major issues so its all good. I have a new air filter snorkel and am sourcing the other parts needed, not to many luckily. It is original (paint etc) so this will make it easy when I go to paint it up. Hopefully soon. I have not yet taken the motor off the base but I am still going over it properly, and will when it comes time to paint. ![[Linked Image from i256.photobucket.com]](http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh187/newy1234/Mower/DSC07773.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i256.photobucket.com]](http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh187/newy1234/Mower/DSC07775.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i256.photobucket.com]](http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh187/newy1234/Mower/DSC07776.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i256.photobucket.com]](http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh187/newy1234/Mower/DSC07780.jpg)

MVC, Well when you go looking for parts click the online store because more and more Victa parts are being uploaded every day, which include prices and pic's. It will also have a second hand area in the future for the hard to get parts that members are looking for. All the best with your restoration of the victa and hopefully you will be able to locate a badge for the handle. I was lucky with my Victa special which was the one before your model as it did not have the edger slot in the frame and it had the badge. Click HERE to have a look.

Thanks Bruce, I just had a look at the online parts area and looks good!
As Joe said there were 2 badges one ebay and the first one got to $140!
I have seen your 18 Special and noticed the missing edger slot, I am learning everyday.
More pics to come.

MVC, I got the victa on ebay and was lucky that the members here did not bid on it. The mower that I bought was less than the price of the badge so I got a really good deal.

HAHHAHAHA, no probs Bruce, mine was also far less then $140 so I will keep an eye out for badges etc.
Some badges seem to be red and some green? Is there different colour badges for different years?

Bruce, I have done some searching and it looks like your 18 Special is the last model and not the model 'before mine'? From what I have read the last model came out without the edger slot? Thanks Martin
