Hi Everyone,

Picked up my first cylinder mower for 100 bucks - it runs and cuts well enough.

Made in Perth, any ideas on age or have any infomation about this model? (serial 17BK(?)272477)

I think I will eventually restore it as a user, is it worthwhile sticking with the existing motor or replace with new?

Thanks

Hello atom1202
I'm thinking no later than c1970s; given that the engine
looks like a Kirby (rather than an imported Tecumseh).

I think your best bet is: -

Hope this helps

Hi Jack,
Thanks for that - looking at your forum posts seems to be a HK25 or 30.
Good to have a copy of the operating and service manuals that have been put up.

Anyone have any idea whether the silver/blue was the original colour scheme?

Cheers

Hello atom1202
There is scarce info on Alrohs.

I can only guess and say yes [from the images].
They are complimentary colours... silver and blue ...

Please keep us informed.

Turns out it was green when it started its life, as per the paint under the chain cover.
