Picked up a model 6 and 9 I think ? not in the best condition but the bases are good and engines turn over with compression. Engine number for mower with rope start pulley 20 ab66829 and the other is dae 17737.
They're not going to be new in the box. They're from the early 60s. Come on, put down that cup of tea and restore restore restore! I should heed my own advice.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
Not really my cup of tea restoring. I think the engine number first mentioned above should be 2 dab 66829. Doe's anyone know to to decipher the engine numbers for the year of manufacture ?
