PART TWO – DetailTurner gave these mowers the ‘C’ designation … for ‘cylinder’ (I guess).
The 14” machine was an original Morrison post-war design, but the
16” and 20” machines were more sophisticated and completely
different in design. They were closely based on the Ransomes
Mk 7 of the late 1950s [see Related Reading].

Tecumseh engines, it would appear
that these were fully imported from New Zealand. The 14” machine
had a single clutch for reel and landroll; the larger machines had
dual clutches.
These Turners are rare today and I feel that reflects low sales
in the day. I have never seen a 14” Turner-Morrison and have
only recorded one auction sale of a 16” machine.
