Hello ODK history lovers
Here are the Rover Scott Bonnar domestic range of
4-stroke lawnmowers for the 1987-88 season.

They are presented in a full-colour brochure dated 09/87,
when Rover were a part of the GWA Group.

Yes, a generous serving of marketing puffery in bloating the ‘range’
by minor changes to handle bar bling, engine filtration and wheels.

It is amusing to see the ambitious comparison made between
Rover mowers and German automotive engineering. Really…?

MODELS in this Brochure: -
The rear-catcher 18-inch models included are the
200ES, 200ES/X and 200ES/XL.

The rear-catcher 20-inch models are the
Supercut 220 and the Self Propelled.

The only reel mower was the ‘Kermit Green’ Model 45.

The side-discharge utility mowers included the
19-inch Utility XL, and the 21-inch Super Ute.

All of these were quality lawnmowers.

TO BE CONTINUED …

PART TWO – The Brochure
This tri-fold brochure is from my collection and it is in great condition.

As always, I make it available to members for viewing or as a quality download.

I love the BS of the ‘mower in a tank’ page; promoting Rover’s
‘Easy Start’ ignition system – yet another bit of marketing puffery
for Brigg’s Magnetron electronic ignition.
