Hope you can help, I would like to know what make is this ride on and a rough idea of what it is worth, I have no idea if it runs or what faults it may have I can purchase it but it is sight unseen and the seller know nothing about it.

Regards Beech

Hello Beech
It is an easy task to identify the make.

It's an early 1970s Rover Colt.
Just do a 'Blue Bar' search to find out more.

Value - I'm the last to ask. Maybe 1 million ...?
Do an auction house search for average value.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Jack yes that is the mower, but call me dumb but what do you mean to do an auction house search? I am hoping there may be someone on the forum who may have some indication as to a fair value.

Hi Beech,
As you are buying a "pig in a poke" I would say $80/100 is the max you should pay. If the motor was running fine then maybe $150

Thank you for that Norm, I agree with what you say as I am purchasing by the photo only, there are 3 of them all in similar condition so will see how it goes.

HI, yep rover colt, Early to mid 70's going by the blue wheels and red seat. Unfortunately has a later model engine on it, colts only had white briggs 5hp's (major) and red 4hp's (minor). Briggs went black in the 1980's. I can also see some sort of hitch mounted to the front that is not original, if it has been used to move trailers I would not have high hopes for the gearbox condition.

In saying that, Finding red seats in that condition is very hard these days, that would clean up very well

Ultimately it is worth what someone is willing to pay, I have seen good condition running colts sell for $300+, personally I paid $30 for mine, all it had was a stuck valve.
