I have a 20 year old McCullock trimmer. Just got it going again after a fair while of inactivity. Like 5 yeass. Other than some leaks and stuff it's going good. However the OE trimmer head (i think) is just about stuffed. It's a Sure-Tap and works really well other than the little metal thingy's that the line goes through on the side on the unit have worn out and the line keeps breaking on the sharp edges.

Is it possible to buy replacemets for these?

By reading the various posts it wsound slike it's leaking becasue the carby needs a rebuild as it has been left with fule in the tank. Anyway that's another problem!

Would appreciate assistance with the Sure-tap.

Hi Rob,

I remember buying those metal inserts for a Sure-Tap a few years
ago from my local lawn mower shop, they should still be available.
