Hi all.
Well I decided to change the power plants on my series 1 Scott Bonnar model 45’s. I’m sure bonnar_bloke will be pleased laugh

and yes he certainly is !

Well done, I've always thought the Kirby's were such better and more interesting looking units with their forward facing fuel tanks opposed to the more subdued looking Briggs units.

So are we going to use them or build a Museum out the back for them to be housed in ? .....Ha Ha Ha !

Cheers,
BB.

PS. all they need now is chromed handle bars as a finishing touch.................................yes I know that's really expensive nowadays....absurdly !

Amazing eye for detail there Bergy, what a collection you have, they are certainly worthy of an SB museum

I must say that since joining the FB Restoration Page I've seen plenty of very randomly and highly customised machines but nothing gets me excited like a good period correct restoration just like they appeared in the original sales brochures. It's always easier to change things around, but to do a faithful resto is simply much harder in anything and not just mowers. Cars instantly come to mind.

Cheers,
BB.

Bergy could probably retire by selling the three edger attachments alone! Love your work, as always.

I don't collect mowers. I just require Multiple Mowing Solutions™.

Hi MS,

Yes those edger attachments seem to have suddenly skyrocketed. One sold last week here in Adelaide for around $500.

I still have a brand new one still in it's original packing box which I bought years ago for $20, amazing how times change.

Cheers,
BB.

Hello deviosi
Yep ... stunned at the brilliantly composed images.

I guess you are a story teller.
These are Pebble Beach jobs.

I have no doubt these mowers will inspire others.
Your images are brochure-inspiring, a homage to the great 45s.

Long live the Scott Bonnar 45s.
