I usually hose my Victa V160 down after use.
Can this cause problems, esp electrical problems?
I am thinking of purchasing a high pressure water cleaner such as a Karcher. Would this be safe to use..? I also want to use it on my Murray 4 stroke ride on.

Hi john2 and drjbeam,
Just a thought, I was told by an old hand years ago that it is a good idea to let the machine cool down before washing; as the cold water on a hot engine can do damage to metal castings wink
Also, if you are trying to keep the machine in original condition or maybe one day thinking of restoring it, it's not a good idea to blow your stickers off as most are irreplaceable. cry
cheers2

Be careful using those pressure cleaners sometimes they will remove the paint as well as the dirt.
I'm not supposed to use mine because of the drought.

cheers gmax

On my honda I wash it straight away with the hose, it probably does not do it any good as the water bubbles like throwing a glass of it on a searing hot frypan although I have been using this mower for almost two years....

Its a real bastardised machine anyway, not particularly worried about it

The starter broke about a year ago, the whole recoil shat itself, I found however a 5hp briggs quantum starter modified will do the job. The head gasket blew and I made one from a breakfast cereal box, the breather kept shooting heaps of oil into the air filter so I threw out the filter and made swiss cheese of the bottom of the air box.

List goes on, and so does the mower for now.....
