Read a lot of info and YouTube, but...
Greenfield Evo 3 12hp 30inch, Briggs IC quiet 12hp
One piece carby, was leaking fuel from bottom of carb after shut down.
Runs real good no issues.
However fuel smell annoying wife...
So got a carby kit and dismantled, float sits almost level with carb upside down, fitted all bits, starts first go and runs nice.
Fitted a fuel shut off valve to the line as well,
It didn’t have one before.
But, start and run, shut down, and it still has fuel leak at bottom of carb.( shut off valve still open)
Annoying...
Any ideas where to???
Appreciate any thoughts.
Fuel coming from adjuster screw in bottom of float bowl, not down sides of the bowl..

It depends if fuel is leaking from the bolt under the fuel bowl or fuel is leaking
from the mixture screw thread.

Options
1, fit fibre washer under bolt.
2, replace mixture screw and bolt or replace internal o ring (if it has an o ring that can be replaced)
3 ,If it's a small amount of fuel that is leaking, permatex gasket goo on the thread should stop the leak.
4 ,Stag sealant on thread and under bolt will stop the leak although you would have to count the
number of turns to get the mixture screw out then put some stag on the thread and install to
the same number of turns then once the stag hardens you would not be able to adjust the mixture without
breaking the the seal you have on the thread.

Yes new bolt and fibre washer and mixture screw and spring are fitted..
There was no o ring when I dismantled... but there is a couple of parts left over in the kit, an oring a small seal and a smaller washer, couldnt find anything like them in the carby when I dismantled.
Assuming the oring has to go somewhere, and was missing before, hence the leak in the first place, where would it go?

okay-- I went with a washer and an o ring between the mixture screw and the collar nut it screws into on bottom of bowl....i put the washer on the spring and the o ring between that and where it screws in.

and it seems its fixed! No more fuel leaking!
