hey everyone. Today i got myself a project for the Christmas holidays. lot of work is going to be needed. Obviously a repaint. but unfortunately water has got into the bore and as rusted the scratches and a part of the front of the cylinder as you can see in the photo. this going to need a rebore or can i just clean the cylinder out?

jam2727, I would be doing a rebore, oversized piston, oversized rings, gasket set, top & bottom seal as well as new bearings and it will go like new providing you have spark. I have the bearings, seals and gasket sets in stock. So if you want a price for the parts just send me a PM.

Does it use a flag type carby or a plastic one? I may have a barrel and piston to suit in good condition.
What is the bore of the 125 so I can make sure what I have is a 125?

hey Joe. It has a G3 carby on it. the inlet port on the cylinder is rusted because the person i got it off left it out in the rain for years with the carby off. so a whole new cylinder would be great.

I had a look around in the shed, I only have a complete 160 that uses a g3.
However I am picking one of these beasties up on saturday that is complete.

I only have a 160cc motor that uses a g3 type carb, thought it was a 125 for some reason. I will be in Melbourne on Saturday picking up one of those utilities just like the one in the pic. (among others) I will see what is among that lot.

I just picked up two of these machines yesterday. Yes a 160 should bolt down nicely.

okay a bit of progress. its all come apart pretty quickly and nicely........ except 2 of the axle bolt and nuts. they seemed to have formed together with the spacer. so dose that call for the grinder? and dose annyone have 2 of these i could get?

well i think the grinder will be the option. i got a full new set of bolts and nuts from the hardware store today. I also have made up 2 new spacers. i don't know what to do about this rot here. should i just cut it away?

That side is bolt on isnt it? I would have to check, I would probably cut it out and bolt on a new side.
Will look at my two later and see.

yes thats the bolt on side. but if i cut that section away there will be nowhere to bolt on. there is a shiny bit there, thats where the bolt was but it snapped on me with verry little force when i tried to take a bolt off. i would have to make that section up again and weld it on.
