Hi folks, hope all are well, I'm trying to find which adhesive is most suitable to use for the land roller cork clutch lining.

Had a really good look at Repco today and confused myself.

Your expert knowledge would be hugely welcomed.

Doing a rest-mod on Rover Thoroughbred, going quite well so far, heaps of fun anyway!

Cheers and thanks

Hi BB,

Sounds like an echo here ..................

I actually use Araldite, the 5 minute version which will give you a bit of time to manipulate it correctly into position while Contact adhesive gives you one go to position it correctly and thus leaves no room for any error.

I then clamp it for around half an hour and then leave it for 24 hours to properly cure prior to fitment and usage.

Cheers,
BB.

Yes I'm mystified why there's sometimes a refusal to answer in forums sometimes.

I for one really couldn't offer a suggestion, plus I admit I tend to skim over topics unless it's to do with mowers I'm personally familiar with.

I'm happy you got a reply Beachbum50. It took another with BB as their initials though with a _ between them as in B_B. .

Welcome aboard the ODK bus.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

I have used the Selleys Kwik grip on several greenfield drives and haven't had a problem so far

I guess it's whatever works best then ? But in saying that "Kwik Grip" is a cheaper option while araldite has always been a tad more expensive.

I'll stick with the dearer option though.

BB.
